Our story

Built for players.
Rooted in community.

Behind the Ball started in 2023 as a single benefit tournament for our friend Daphne Mozeley. The volleyball community filled every court and raised more than $2,500. Today, BTB is a full season of grass events across the Carolinas, with sand and indoor events throughout the year.

  • Adult grass tournaments with Open, AA, A and BB divisions
  • Tournaments, BYOT, Blind Draws and Kings & Queens
  • AVP rules, live scoring on Volleyball Life
  • Giving back through the Next Set Scholarship
